The compact camera's 'Intelligent mode' has four key features aimed at capturing the best shot - the dual image stabilisation system of MEGA OIS (optical image stabiliser) and Intelligent ISO Control (IIC); as well as Auto Macro Mode and Continuous Auto-Focus.

DMC-LS80s is famous of its MEGA OIS that compensates for handshake, a major cause of blurred images, while IIC addresses the other cause of blurred images - subject movement. For perfect close-ups, the camera switches automatically to macro mode, when the subject is detected within macro focus range. Auto-focusing is simpler and faster thanks to continuous AF. Such useful function is well ahead of other rivals at similar prices.
