Purchased several years ago from Jacobs Cameras and Scopes in Birkenhead with the intention of using on an art project.
A film has been loaded but the camera has never been used.
The camera was previously owned by Jacob so was offered to him prior to listing on Trade Me should he have a nostalgic connection to the camera :-)
The price paid was probably $195.00 - indicated by the sticker still on the camera.

The SUPER 8 ARENA site has some useful information.
The classic 814 Auto Zoom, a legendary sturdy Super 8m Canon camera, built like a tank and in satin chrome colour. Equipped with Canon's excellent optics and with 12fps, 18fps, 24fps speeds more than up to date. The same model has been used for the U2 "Live from Boston" Elevation Film along with other professional cameras.
Many professional photographers relied on this model since then and it is still the number one choice in many film schools for two simple reasons: 1. Simplicity and 2. Reliability.
