This amp was a fantastic entry into tube amplifiers for me. Just under a year old, it works well and I am only because I'm planning on moving up market and this amp won't drive the speakers I am currently planning to buy.

I have revised the description, and dropped the price because of the following:

I am selling this amp in good faith, and bought it in the same way - believing the advertised description. However, late last night I came home and read the "question" from Kierant.

If you follow his link you will find an article describing what I would call a dissection and debunk of this amp.

Obviously I'm far from happy. This is for two reasons. Firstly, I'm sure no one likes to have their auction "bombed" with unhelpful comments such as this one. However, that was a short lived aggravation - and in some ways I'm thankful that Kierant bothered to let me know about this.

No the real reason I'm annoyed is because I was unaware of any of this despite doing what I considered was good research before buying this amp. As I said, I bought it in good faith, although I clearly got something I didn't expect. However, I suggest you have a look at the reviews on this page (particularly the one entitled "Not a "true" tube amp but true to sound"):

I generally let my ears do the work and as I bought this off ebay I was flying blind. I found the amp sounded good and drove my AR4xa speakers well.

If you re-read this advert and go in with your eye's open then you may get something that is of use to you. I'm just moving it on, and the price reflects that.
