Nevertheless, we're not speaking a scaled-down re-make of a Sizmik bass machine but about a completely different sub, meeting other needs. The Linn Clasik Afekt sports a 8” woofer which is driven by the internal amplifier developing up to 170W continuous power with massive 330W short-term peaks for a truly blasting experience in both music and movie playback. The re-designed cabinet now sports even more serious internal strutting and damping layers that allow for minimal distortions and unwanted resonance; the sound remains pure and rich even at high volume levels, or during prolonged listening sessions, making the Linn Clasik Afekt a very reliable subwoofer. The Linn Clasik Afekt sports an adjustable crossover that operates between 50 and 120Hz and has 3 steps and a flat setting for external low-pass filtering – these options allow the owner of the Linn Clasik Afekt to better adjust the performance of the subwoofer.
