Xduuo's ''X3's'' are an Intro into the World of Hi-End, Hi-Fidelity Audio @ a Budget price-point. However, sounds anything but 'cheap', irrespective of whether You're playing 'Titanium' (David Guetta) @ full, undistorted noise, or listening to Mozart's D minor concerto (# 20) or a peice of Rachmaninoff, while negotiating busy or grid-locked, mid-town traffic. The sound stage spaciousness & simplicity of use often make this (I own & use an X3) my Go-2 music box. Has Dual 128GB Micro SD Slots & runs Linux thru a really easy-pezy, intuitive GUI; Heavy-Lifting is done by twin 'Smart-Chip' (''JZ4760B'') Amps. The maestro, music magician (DAC) is a Cirrus Logic, ''CS4398'', which gives a very good account of itself (I have 5 DAPs, so I have a reasonably good ear). Powered by a 1500 mAh, Li-Poly Battery, good for up to 10 hours play at a stretch & takes approx 2 hours (+/-) to recharge.
This device will handle most of the music formats/ Codecs You & I are familiar with (There is always some 'wally'' who's got a question about some really obscure ''Rue-Shun'' codec), including, DSD, FLAC, Lossless, WAV, of course, APE & handles music management AptX. I very much doubt You'll find a better specc'ed DAP out there @ this price-point (Blows 'FiiO's F1' Away) & a better, all-round performer. The X3 will cause You to rethink Your ears/ ''cans'' & You may want/ need to flick those 'earphones' Your girfriend gave You for Xmas 4 years ago. I'd suggest saving-up for a mid-range pair of AKG's or maybe even Audio Technica (Panasonic) Studio Headphones, which are about $270 (Leave the Numb-Skull-Candy's on the rack). If You are on a real skinny budget, I have a well-loved X3 which I'll let go for $95 & I'll throw in the courier fee; Pair that with a pair of Phillips SHL-3060's, which You can get as cheap as chips ($35 Bux).
