The TV was bought on Tuesday the 25th of April and is in mint condition. I'm selling it because I'm unhappy with the B.A.D. AGC on its built-in FreeView tuner.

All three HDMI inputs, the AV inputs and the VGA input and the 3.5mm stereo audio input have been tested and found to work fine. (When the source is from a 2009 Mac Mini, though, the sound is poor quality, possibly because of the wretched headphone/line-out/optical jack on the Mac.)

The HDMI ports accept sound with the video. If only a DVI signal is detected, the 3.5mm audio jack is selected as the audio input.

Any digital or analogue video received at the PAL RF socket works, but is useless for TV viewing because of an obnoxious AGC which abruptly changes the brightness setting every second so that between 1 and 2 seconds after a scene change, the picture brightens or dims 0.5 to 2 second after the scene change. It works precisely as the manufacturer intended so it's Broken as Designed.

The built-in FreeView tuner works but as it takes its signal from the RF input, the obnoxious AGC makes television unbearable to watch. An external FreeView decoder (not supplied) must be used if one wants to watch TV without being distracted by the 1000ms AGC update intervals.

The HDMI and VGA inputs (1366×768) work great and movie watching is unspoiled by any AGC or Auto-Dimming (backwards AGC!) of the accursed LG TVs.

The sound (9W) is adequate and decently loud for a small TV.

The VESA mounts are 100mm × 100mm. As the supplied stand is not adjustable, a tiltable mount would be useful.

Comes with remote and manual.

There's no manufacturers warranty for Dick Smith stock not branded by other manufacturers. I couldn't return this under the CGA: After calling the receivers, I find am an "unsecured creditor". The Commerce Commission said the DSE staff breached the FTA by telling me the TV was covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but they cannot take action against a pumpkin. Thus I am selling the TV here with the design defect described.
