Mame Arcade Machine
- Closed: Mon 10 Sep 2012, 9:52 pm
- Listing #: 510447485
Re listed as trademe cancelled the previous auction due to infringement of their Terms And Condition.
You can't sell digital storage with saved digital media on it (music, videos, games, ...)
So, for this auction, mame will be installed but no game will be on it. I will be able to set up the machine for the winner of the auction once bought (takes 10 minutes).
Please check the bottom of the description.
I have set up this mame machine in a cabinet bought of NZ Spacies a year and a half ago.
Sadly I need to let it go as I need the money for a personal project.
It has a 27 inch arcade monitor (15Hz) so has the genuine display of those machine.
I have hooked up a computer to the jamma components (it means if you want to just have one game using a jamma board, you can by simply removing the computer and wiring I have done).
It runs on a special linux distribution (Groovy Arcade - trademe: open source and free see http://groovyarcade.sourceforge.net/ ) done especially to output to arcade monitors (and not LCD / computer screens). The user interface only include the front end to help you choose your game, so no resources are lost for unnecessary graphics.
The video card is an ArcadVGA, doing the bridge between the computer and the monitor running at 15Hz.
It has a I-PAC (http://www.ultimarc.com/ipac1.html) as the bridge for the controllers and buttons to input the computer can understand.
You don't need a mouse or keyboard to control it, just use the joystick and buttons.
2 joysticks, 6 buttons per player, 1 player and 2 player button and finally one hidden to start the computer.
It has a working coin slot.
it comes with extra buttons (separate in a bag)
Feel free to contact me if you want to see it and have a go on it to see how it feels.
PS: this is a non exhaustive list of game you will be able to play once the mame cabinet setup properly, which I will do for you for free once bought.
