This part is a replacement for your broken or excessively scratched touch screen, it sits on top of the LCD screen, and makes your DS touch capable.

Self Installation - Due to the complex nature of installing these parts, I would urge you to watch a few youtube tutorials on installing this part and even have a tutorial up on the screen as you install it, pausing as you go. There are so many things that can go wrong like wrong length screws inserted in the wrong place, static discharge and many other things that could go wrong.
