INDEPENDENCE DAY brings the alien blasting action of the movie to the PlayStation. Aliens are invading Earth, and you are the only person who can stop them.

Got a few minutes to save the world? Based on the hit movie Independence Day, this PlayStation game puts you on a mission to rescue Earth from total destruction. With more than 13 levels of gameplay, Independence Day from Fox Interactive lets you fly and dogfight your fighter jet over several endangered cities and regions, including New York, Las Vegas, Tokyo, Moscow, the Grand Canyon, and the highly-classified Area 51.

For each level, you will be given clear and concise mission goals. Once these basic objectives are complete, you will then move on to engage the alien destroyers that hover precariously above each city. Destroy the aliens before entering into a final confrontation with the alien mothership.

Prepare for battle by building up a fleet of defenders from a selection of 10 fighter jets, which include the FA-18 Hornet, Su-27 Flanker, and A-10 Thunderbolt. Saving the world on your own is rewarding, but you can also go head-to-head with your friends for some dogfight dueling in this game's split-screen mode.

Should your friends want a dogfight, challenge them with either the two-player split screen mode or use a link cable for some head-to-head competition. With Earth under attack, only the best of the best will be able to create another INDEPENDENCE DAY.
