In my experience with this comb all you need is conditioner and perseverance. Wet hair and cheap conditioner (I just use the cheap apple or berry) and this comb will do the job. For me it's your best friend when it comes to nits. I've never bothered with chemicals since using this comb - but you do need to keep at it until you see no more nits and then check 2, 7 and 10 days later to ensure you've broken the cycle.
