A massage blend for pregnant tummies, to soothe the itching and minimise stretch marks. Rub in well, everyday in the latter part of the pregnancy. We’ve received good feedback from a number of expectant Mums, and from masseurs who work with them, it’s always nice to know when something helps.

Contains Essential Oil of Lavender, a soothing and relaxing herb, and Sweet Orange Oil which is reputed to strengthen muscles, and aid digestion. Also contains Aloe vera, Plantain & Chickweed extracts in Sunflower Oil, Calendula Extract in Almond Oil, Beeswax, and Vitamin E. Oil.

At Millstream Gardens, we have been making and selling our herbal ointments for 35 years now. The plants used in making our salves come from our gardens, are gathered wild from our land, or from plant matter or extracts that we buy in. Beeswax comes from a local Apiary, and the Sunflower Oil, which forms the basis of most of our macerations, is NZ made.

Most of our ointments are made using herbal macerations. Maceration is the process of steeping fresh herbs in oil and leaving in the sun for several weeks, or gently heating the mixture to transfer the herbal oils from the plant into the oil. Beeswax is added to give a firm consistency, and contributes healing properties. This makes application and storage cleaner and easier.
