Promoting your listing

By increasing the profile of your listings on Trade Me you can increase the number of people that see your listing - get more bids, and make more money! There are a number of promotional extras you can select when you list an item for sale:

Feature
Featured listings ensure that your auctions are at the top of the listings within the category.

Bold
The title of bold listings appears in "bold" type.

Gallery
On Gallery listings your main photo appears in search results. Gallery listings also show in the Gallery view which allows people to browse by photo. Gallery auctions get up to 80% more bids than other auctions.

Gallery Plus
We know the right buyer can be hard to find, so you can get Gallery for longer with Gallery Plus. For 10c more than Gallery (or 5c more for books and CDs) you get Gallery on your listing, and on your next two relists if your item doesn’t sell. Find out more information.

Feature combo
With a feature combo, you get all of the above - feature, bold and Gallery. Feature combo listings are 9x more likely to sell than standard listings.

Highlight
Highlighted listings have a bright yellow border. Highlight is currently available in Motors and Property.

Homepage feature
Homepage feature auctions appear on the homepage in the order that they are closing. The next 12 homepage feature auctions to close will appear on the homepage.

If you are based in NZ you need a feedback rating of greater than 5, or be Address Verified to purchase a homepage feature. Overseas members need a feedback rating greater than 25.

Trade Me reserves the right to remove items from the homepage at its sole discretion.

You can select any of these promotional extras when you are placing a listing. You can also upgrade your listing while it is running by clicking the "promote" link on the listing.
