Learning more about the seller

There are a number of things you can look for to help you decide whether a seller is trustworthy or not.

Every trader on Trade Me has a feedback rating. This appears beside their username in brackets - e.g. super_trader (5). A high feedback rating indicates the trader has succesfully completed a number of trades.

In addition to this New Zealand members can become Address Verified. This involves us verifying a member's address by sending them a letter and them confirming receipt. Members who have done this will have the Address Verified icon next to their username.
