Why might you consider cellular shades? Made from two or more layers of fabric woven together to create three-dimensional “honeycomb” cells that extend when open and stack when closed, cellular shades are a crisp look that diffuse light and provide excellent privacy. The Air pockets that are created in between the layers of fabric work as a barrier against cold weather or the heat during summer.

Choose a blackout fabric with aluminium foil for an even better performance. Forget about the so called "Thermal" roller blinds, which make little to no difference when comes to insulation.
