These are brand new ESSENCIA filter units still in their original packaging & have never been used.

I previously used the old drip filter method with two types of carbon and when I saw these, I knew this was the filtering operation that was for me and my customers.

Initial reluctance, mainly due to up-front cost, and after a little gentle persuasion, a good number of my customers have now upgraded to this filtering system and no one would even consider returning to the older drip filters, trying to get the packing just right and no more mucking around with messy carbon. In fact, I think just about every one of those customers who have upgraded, complained to me that they wished I had convinced them earlier!!!!!

The quality of the filtered spirit is also far superior to any other filtering system.

Very simple to use ... Alcohol is poured into the upper reservoir, and is filtered by the multi-stage cartridge system as it makes its way to the lower reservoir.

There are 2 cartridges included with the filter and will need replacing eventually:

1. upper ceramic filter is good for about 300 litres - replacement cost $53.00 or 17.6c per litre
2. lower carbon cartridge is good for about 45 litres - replacement cost $48.60 or $1.08 per litre These comsumable costs are very similar to other drip filter methods, but much easier and a lot less mess.

The main reservoir holds about 4-5 litres of filtered spirit, which is on hand and always ready to mix with your favourite spirit flavour.

Complete filter comes with full instructions, and is very simple to use.
