The FlueCube is a chimney cowl designed to stop typical winter weather conditions affecting the combustion from above the appliance. It uses remaining unburnt gases that would normally escape up the flue to fuel a perpetual and contained heated ring around the flue outlet. This along with it's flat mesh top design protects from cold air sinking into the flue that causes down draught and back pressure; making lighting difficult, smoke entering the room and generally poor - smoky combustion. These atmospheric issues block the natural oxygen supply to the fire from the flue. With the weather no longer being a problem it's then up to the appliance which is now able to function to the ratings supplied by the manufacturer/ laboratory - and in real life winter conditions rather than solely the optimised lab-based ones! A typical FlueCube result is no smoke after lighting within 2 minutes, up to double the burn time - conserving your wood fuel, and an odourless - overall cleaner self sufficient wood heating system.
