What began in 1881 as a little glass factory in Iittala, Finland, has now become one of the most celebrated glassware names in the world; celebrated for Scandinavian design integral to a timeless look and aura.

The Finnish companys Alvar Aalto Collection actually dates back to 1936, and finds its inspiration within the great architectural and design-oriented mind of Alvar Aalto.

Fluid, organic shapes define the Alvar Alto Vase, which is a spectacular blend of design brilliance and timelessness. And the craftsmanship is superb: it takes seven craftsmen, twelve work stages, 1100°c and thirty hours to make just one vase. Each vase is meticulously mouth blown by iittalas skilled glassworkers in Finland, and this smaller version of Alvar Aalto's classic is no less fantastical as the original.
