Description
Genuine string of Tibetan prayer flags (10 to a string). Made by Tibetans in India at the TCV (Tibetan Children's Village) place in McLeodganj.
'The Tibetan word for prayer flag is Dar Cho. Dar means to increase life, fortune, health and wealth. Cho means for all sentient beings. Prayer flags are simple devices that, coupled with the natural energy of the wind, quietly harmonize the environment, impartially increasing happiness and good fortune among all living beings.'
Beautiful addition to any outdoor area or even inside (but really they are best where the wind can blow them). By blowing in the wind the mantras (prayers) that are printed on the flags go out into the world. The prayers are a wish for the well-being for all living beings.
Each flag is 6 x 11 cm. A string of 10 is approx. 70 cm long.
Bought to you by the Himalayan Nomad Massage Centre in Porirua / Wellington - NZ's only authentic traditional Tibetan massage practice. Please see our other listings for more Tibetan treasures. Some of the proceeds of sales go to supporting our Charitable Trust: Tibetan Nomad Aid Trust. Look us up for more info or ask a question. I am Tibetan and we buy only from Tibetans to support them.
