Pasifika is a LastPost.co.nz coffin made in NZ by a craftsman. Each coffin has the utmost care given to detail and quality. These are not assembly line coffins.

LastPost coffins make little impact on the environment. NO nails, NO metal and NO MDF.

Pasifika is a very strongly built pine coffin that uses glued finger joints on all corners.

The lid is up cycled matai with bamboo ply. The lid can be propped either side for viewing and is closed using 10mm dowels at each end that pass through the coffin wall into the frame of the lid.

This system of closing allows the family to easily close the coffin themselves.

The bars for carrying this coffin are laminated matai and allow the coffin to be carried by eight pall bearers. The 40mm canvas webbing straps pass under the floor of the coffin making it a very strong system.

Pasifika is finished with bee’s wax.
