THE DRINK DRIVING LAW CHANGED 1st DEC 2014

From 1 December 2014 the alcohol limit for drivers over 20 years lowers to 250mcg of alcohol per litre of breath (BRAC), and blood alcohol (BAC) limit lowers to 50mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. Zero tolerance for drivers under 20 years

If caught between 251-400mcg the penalty is $200 Fine & 50 demerit points. Receive 100 demerit points over 2 years.........you will lose your licence!!!

How it works?

Press the power button once, the alcohol tester LCD will turn on with one beep. The warm up symbol is displayed, and the 10 to 1 countdown is started indicating tester is in warm-up mode. The "blow" symbol is displayed when warm-up time is completed. Tester is now in testing mode. Place mouth near the sensor slots and blow for 5 seconds. Read the testing result from the alcohol tester LCD. Best results are obtained if tested at least 20 minutes after drinking. A second test should be used a short while after the first to ensure that BAC is declining and not rising. Test again on the “morning after”.
