MEET THE PET SHOP BOYS!

British electropop superstars the Pet Shop Boys are heading to Auckland next week for their first ever New Zealand concert at the St James Queen St on Thursday March 29, and an opportunity for two lucky fans to meet the duo is being auctioned off to the highest bidder on Trade Me.

This charity auction is for the benefit of the New Zealand AIDS Foundation and closes at 9pm on Tuesday March 27.

The prize package includes:

* two tickets to the Pet Shop Boys Auckland show on Thursday March 29
* a drink with the duo backstage after the show

(Transport to Auckland and accommodation is not included)

"Were very grateful to the Pet Shop Boys for agreeing to this auction, following the precedent set by Elton John last year," says NZAF Fundraiser & Events Co-ordinator Larry Jenkins. "The opportunity for fans to fulfil a hearts desire and benefit the community doesnt come up often, so get bidding!"

The New Zealand AIDS Foundation is a registered charitable trust which works to prevent the transmission of HIV in New Zealand, in particular among communities of gay and bisexual men, who remain the highest risk group for infection.

NZAF also provides a rapid HIV testing service and support and for all those living with or affected by HIV in New Zealand, irrespective of race, gender, age or sexual orientation, through Positive Health clinics in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
