Metal stand can be used as corner stand or usual way. Very good for entertainment gear to go on. Could be used for a stand for anything heavy. Ive had a 40 inch older style tv on it plus stereo sound stuff below. Only has 2 shelves plus top one as to enable height for other things to go on it.
