Save a butterfly today!!!!!

These are fundraising items for the Monarch Butterfly New Zealand Trust. Funds raised go towards research and education projects for the preservation of NZ's butterflies and moths.

Buddleias are a good source of nectar for
butterflies. They have a lovely sweet fragrance which attracts butterflies and bees, like moths to a light!

These plants are ready to be planted outside or in a pot if you wish. Trim off dead flowers and this will encourage the plant to flower more.

Plants are posted BARE ROOTED.

You are bidding on 1 x plant in PB bag or pot. Height from top of plant bag is 10cm (4") - 15cm (6") high. The flower color on this Buddleia plant is Magenta. Pick up can be from Massey, West Auckland. Cash on collection please.

We will only post on a Monday or Tuesday as it will take 1 - 3 days to arrive. This saves the parcel sitting in a hot warehouse over a weekend.



NB Not all Buddleia species are a noxious weed. In some regions of NZ, Buddleia davidii (a "cousin" of this one) is a pest plant. Check with your regional council for more information about Buddleia davidii and a description.

The Monarch Butterfly NZ Trust, which is a registered charitable trust with donee status, aims to raise awareness of all NZ's resident butterflies and moths so they can be encouraged before they become endangered, when bringing them back to our gardens would be so much more difficult. Anecdotal evidence tells us the numbers of some species are in decline.
