A very hardy plant.
Forms tight spiky clumps of green/yellow foliage with purple at the leaf tips.
Leaves gain more colour at flowering.
Large bright red flower heads rise just above leaf tips with lilac flowerettes & last approximately 5 weeks, with leaf colour lasting about 4 months
Use in trees or stumps as an epiphyte or clumped in rocky or dry areas.
Salt spray tolerant & prefers full sun.
Can withstand moderate frosts.

THESE ARE NOT PUPS. All my bromeliads are potted and near maturity. Some have pups, and some are doubles. Photo is of actual plants buyer gets to choose from (plant at lower right has flowered & started dying back...so not this). Buyer gets to choose on ‘first come – first serve’ basis.
