Flowers are around 10 cm in size, abundant flowers on each stem and the flower stems are 80-100cm tall.

Dahlias produce excellent flowers and are great for bold colour in your garden and their vibrant blooms make good picking.

Flower buds develop in early summer and bloom through autumn until the weather cools considerably. They put in a fantastic display with a succession of flowers on each plant.

They are winter dormant and can be lifted and divided at that time of the year.

Dahlias are best grown in well-drained sites in full sun. They are well suited to growing in pots and containers. Add a little fertiliser, organic matter or humus each year for best growing.
