Description
I love this time of the year in my garden. Winter gives us a chance to tidy up & reassess everything, to prune & thin & transplant &....to share bits & pieces. I am not a commercial grower but I do love to garden & my garden brings me (& many others) great joy. I just don't have the time or the space to grow heaps of plants for people so I have decided to simply offer cuttings of this rose as it is very hard to come by these days.
I figure that you are either an experienced gardener & you'll have no trouble growing them, or if you're just getting the hang of things you'll get a chance to learn as you grow.
This auction is for 6 cuttings. I will cut them to the size & nodes that I would if I was going to strike them.
I will also add a little bag of cutting sand that you can put at the roots of the rose cuttings.
I will also very happily send you more if you have a disaster & mean time I have taken some cuttings that will be a back up for you.
Up to you then if you'd like to try it this way.
"General Gallieni is a tea rose bred by Nabonnand in 1899. Named after the French General Joseph Gallieni who served in the Franco Prussion war."
Bred in 1899 isn't that amazing! I find it to be a strong, vigorous, amazingly disease resistant & highly floriferous rose that is almost evergreen & barely ever with out a flower.
Just not much scent.
Wonderful colours in the flowers.
I also have some climbing Cecile Brunner & Souvenir d'un Ami available just now too. All three roses are easily grown from cutting.
