Description
You are bidding on at least two little rhizomes of the Dwarf bearded iris you see in the pic.
Name: BROWN IMP Hybridizer: J and L Fry R. 1986 Height : 30cms (SDB Standard Dwarf Bearded)
Awards: HM 1990
Description: Chestnut and light brown shadings with a contrasting gold bread. Deep brown spot on falls. Gives good increase.
Suitable for rockery, or garden border and does well in pots.
Irises are not frost tender. They just need a position in our garden with at least 5 hours sun a day and they don't like being waterlogged. Their rhizomes sit on top of the soil where they can sunbathe and be baked hard.
After its flowering season this little iris has had its rest and is now ready to be divided and replanted in its new home. It will put on good growth over the Summer, ready for the flowering season next year.
It comes with simple instructions on how to grow and care for them. Their requirements are not many.
Thankyou for looking. I will be putting more irises up as the season progresses. The tall irises are just passing the height of their bloom here in the Wairarapa at the moment. They've made a spectacular show. It's been a good season, with a few winds and even a late frost but overall favourable for these plants.
