This auction is for 1 Bag of Tobacco Seeds with 1 tsp seeds (30,000). A University counted 1 level tsp of the seeds & got approx. 30,000 seeds minimum as they resemble grains of sand, totally believable.

I have harvested 6 crops of the this tobacco (Virginia Variety) & are so glad I did it. At the start it seemed like too much effort, but I gave it a go & I was so surprised at how easy the whole process was. I have learnt so much along the way due to my own mistakes & also hints & tips I read off the net from other growers. It may seem a hassle to start the seeds off, but honestly it's not. Get yourself a seedling tray, or look for a decent sized shallow container, make small holes in the bottom. You have to use seedling mix but you just need the small bag. Use 1 pinch of seeds & sprinkle them on top of the soil, it's very deceiving as they are so tiny you are tempted to put more on, but don't otherwise your tray will look like mine & be chocka with thousands of seedlings. I water the seeds with a spray bottle using luke warm water. They take approx. 2 - 2.5 weeks to start coming up. After they have established with the 1st 2 leaves out, separate them either into separate containers or into a big pot like I do, I put approx. 20 plants in & grow them for a few more weeks to get them big enough to plant in the ground. It will take approx. 2-2.5 mths to get to maturity. Then start to take several leaves off each plant, hang them to dry which varies depending where you dry them but usually 2-3 weeks, then I cut out the middle core & put the halves of the leaves into my blender & pulse till they are the right size to roll into a smoke (each trader has their own way of cutting/shredding). It's really that easy.
