This Aviary is the prototype of Aviaries we will be introducing into our range of kitset Digloo Geodesic outdoor Structures, - greenhouses, shade houses, playhouses and sheds.
These wonderful shapes offer maximum strength for minimum material, with fantastic volume and square area. They need no internal supporting as the structure consists of over 100 triangles.
Digloos do not blow down. Even in the strongest winds, they just sit there while the gales slide over the top.
This Aviary is 3.5m diameter, 2.1m to the apex, and 9.6 square metres area, 13 cubic metres volume.
Struts are made from treated pine, hubs are aluminium discs bolted to both sides of the struts. Super strong.
Features a double door, with latches either side of each door for bird-tight security. The covering is 13 mm Hex galvanised mesh stapled to the inside, to avoid pecking of the struts, while the shade and rain cover is on the outside. The lattice provides endless fixing for roosts, swings, feeders, toys and nesting boxes.
While these will usually only be available as a kitset, this one is completely assembled. Our original. As such, this Aviary is pick up only.
It only needs a paint of your choice of colour ( if you wish, but you dont have to if you dont want to ). It will easily fit on a car trailer ( one for carrying a car !! ), we'll just remove the door assembly and it will happily sit sideways on the door frame while being transported.
