Chateau Grezan. Cuvee Coeur de gamme rouge. Vin d'appellation FAUGERES Controlee.
Big, earthy French blend from very old vines.
This wine is a true function of terroir - greatly influenced by the Faugres "wild soil". It has aromas of spices, black fruits and garrigue, which reflect the soil as well as the grape varieties.
The palate is fine and elegant, the tannins are gentle. To enjoy the complexity of this wine during its youth, it is best to decanter for 2 to 3 hours before tasting it at a temperature of about 16C.
Soil: Schistose.
Grapes: 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignan.
Wine-making:
Total destemming followed by a maceration for 10 to 15 days. Cold maceration before fermentation for one part, and traditional wine-making for the other part, with control of the temperatures and pneumatic pressing. This wine was bred in a tank, regularly raked for over a year before being bottled.
Food:
To be enjoyed with red and white meats, pork meats, roasted fowls as well as with all kinds of cheeses.
Suggested match: roasted duck with olives.
Product of France.
6 Bottles.
Let's be sensible about this:
The law and commonsense ban sale of alcohol to those younger than 18 years old. If that's you, don't bid or buy, don't ask questions, don't get someone to bid or buy on your behalf.
