This beautiful brooch was made for my Great Grand Mother who performed repertoires in the early 1920s. Commissioned by a Hawkes Bay artist M. McCartney well known for her oil paintings and miniatures. It measures approx 90 x 70mm. Made of glass with Diamantes and hand painted flowers.. This brooch is quite large possibly made for a fashionable 1920s turban ( I have photographed an example)
