Spessartite Garnet has shades of colors in red-orange, yellow- orange, bright yellow, and pure orange. With mosted valued- colors spessartite garnet are red-orange and orange colors. Top-grade spessartite garnet in size over 5 carats is now very rare. Our collections of spessartite garnet has a varieties of sizes and color shades. Spessartine of an orange-yellow has been called Mandarin garnet Color. Spessartite garnet is ideochromatic, meaning that it is colored by a fundamental element in its composition. That element is manganese, which produces an orange color. Take away the manganese, and it would no longer be spessartite thus spessartite has only one basic color – orange.
