Boulder opal mainly occurs in specific locations over an area of Western Queensland. The opal forms within the cavities of the boulders in vertical and horizontal cracks. Boulder opal can be found in many different shapes, sizes and variations of color and can be dark or light.

We try at all times to take the most true pictures possible, Using Natural sun light whenever possible. However, cameras often pick up colours and light differently and variations may occur. All these Photos have been taken DRY to show the true specimen’s quality.

This stone could be further polished or cut to the desired finish.
