Rolex began making larger dress watches in the very late 1930s

The fashion for mens watches was a case size of 30 - 33mm.

This one is 35mm and known as oversize..

This watch has been checked and serviced by my watch maker.

It is in very good working condition.

It keeps excellent time. and comes with the original Rolex strap.

Inside back of case shows 9ct gold mark from Birmingham dated 1951.

The watch has been inscribed on back and shows it was presented to an English gentleman for 34 years of loyal service..

Has not had a lot of wear and is exceedingly clean with a very clear face and dial.

It is a manual wind.

This model was only made for a couple of years then word precision was added.

I have the later model (1953) in watching.- Asking price is 3,500 English pounds.
