Our Client

Our client is a multi-disciplined civil & structural engineering firm based in Kerikeri, successfully serving the local community. Today they have a strong team of 14 tertiary qualified engineers with a comprehensive range of engineering skills that operate across the Civil, Structural and Environmental sectors, working on an interesting range of projects throughout the Bay of Islands and Northland, whilst providing problem-solving and professional advice to both local, national and international clients.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their company in Kerikeri, New Zealand, with the potential to earn a generous negotiable salary that is based on your experience.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage a range of commercial & residential projects.

Reporting to the Director some of your responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with Architects and clients throughout projects
  • Prepare freehand markups of designed structures for CAD drafting
  • Manage CAD drafter throughout the documentation phase
  • Check drawings to ensure they reflect design intent
  • Quote new work and maintain a professional relationship with Architects

About You

To be successful in this role you will have 8+ years experience as a Structural Engineer on residential and low rise commercial buildings as well as a technical ability across the commercial sector.

Additionally, to be considered for this position you will have a relevant Engineering Degree and you must have or be close to Chartered Status.
