Description
Otunui is a 1907 Paddleboat which ran with the Hatricks fleet on the Wanganui River
60 feet long and 16 tonnes. Very cheap to run and easy to operate and can run in very shallow water, and sit on the bottom if the tide goes out.
Currently has a galley with gas stove and sink, large fridge. Sleeps 2 on a pull out sofa. Hot water, toilet, holding tanks, shower, LPG heat. There is a 2000w Pure Sine inverter to run a drinks fridge, or vacuum cleaner, and a 85w solar panel to keep the batteries topped up.
A seperate 160Amp alternator charges the house batteries for the inverter.
VHF radio, GPS, life rafts, liferings, flares, fire pump and extinguishers are just some of the safety equipment.
There is a PA intercom, and stereo with MP3 input.
Would make a fun and unique houseboat, or a great cafe!
She is fully operational and surveyed for 48 passengers. Modern diesel motor, new hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors on paddlewheels. Fwd and rev on each wheel independently like a tank, and rudders for steerage underway.
Currently in survey but runs out this month. Survey not required for a private/non-commercial vessel.
Brand new "clears", side window curtains, for a better view in wet weather.

Transportation by road is easy, wheelhouse comes off, travel lift or crane puts boat on excavator trailer (flat bottom), 2 pilots escort truck to new location. Has been on the road 14 times.

Insurance value around $135,000, would cost $250,000 to build a new one.
Have owned for 5 years and carried 10,000 people in that time but now the vendor is moving on to other things.
