Its attached to the boom,a line goes around the drum ,tension set and allows for a controlled gybe or preventor when running flat off,the line is attached to the deck on either side,not difficult to set up.This is as new,marine alluminium..just to clarify..the line is attached to port side,then around drum and then to attachment on Stb side EASY AS
