You can setup your Seagull Outboard with a very beautiful & traditional Rope Starter

This auction is for the starter cord on the Mid Right- This starter is rope tied into a 'monkey fist' ball, approx the size of a golf ball R=$6. If you want one of the others in the photo, please ask & I'll setup an auction for you

Photo explained from left to right;

• Far Left- This starter is rope tied into a large '5 bight star knot', this is the ultimate in workmanship & artistic skill, approx the size of a tennis ball R=$20
• Mid Left- This starter is rope tied into a small '5 bight star knot', this is the ultimate in workmanship & artistic skill, approx the size of a golf ball R=$18
• Centre- This starter is reclaimed Pohutukawa R=$6
• Mid Right- This starter is rope tied into a 'monkey fist' ball, approx the size of a golf ball R=$6
• Far Right- This starter is rope tied into a large 'monkey fist' ball, gives supreme grip, approx the size of a tennis ball, R=$12

All starter cords have been made for optimized starting performance

• Rope is correct diameter & length
• Rope is synthetic polypropylene cord with an old world look
• The stopper knot is a double overhand, giving a nice neat finish

Avoid these 5x commonly made mistakes with a Seagull starter rope;

1. a cord too short, will give a low cranking speed
2. a cord too long, may not release, (injury risk)
3. a cord too fat will wedge in the spool
4. a cord too thin can bunch & not release smoothly
5. an improper handle will not give a firm grip
