WOODGAS Instruction Booklet

WOODGAS can be used to power petrol vehicles, and drive petrol engines being used to generate electricity. Not as easy as using BIODIESEL in diesel vehicles but the technology was used on more than one million vehicles during the Second World War. An Australian vehicle modified to run on woodgas can cover 2kms per kg of wood used. It can be done - can a Kiwi get 2.5kms/kg wood?.

This easy to understand and elementary booklet is the best way to get started, and have a go at cooking with WOODGAS. As a first step towards learning about woodgas this booklet describes (with pictures) my experiments in building a small stove that generates woodgas and then burns it to produce heat. When you have achieved this first step you can start thinking about the possibility of using woodgas to fuel a vehicle - that is too big a topic to have been included in this booklet.
