Ford Escort MKII 1300L 1976

This car has a great history. It has virtually had 2 owners. It was first registered on 04/03/1976 to the father of the gentleman I purchased it from. After 15 years it was passed on to his son upon his death. His son then owned it for nearly 17 year before I purchased it.
Until I purchased it, it had been kept completely factory. I havent really changed too much (I have tried to keep it as factory as possible yet adding a subtle amount of that classic modification).
I have added 13x7 Modgies with 215 Toyo Proxy tyres (these still have great tread). They are also protected by locknuts. I have also added a 50x4W Panasonic CD/MP3/Tuner stereo which has a front auxiliary input for your iPod or MP3 player. I have also purchased some Pioneer 440W 6x9s which have great quality sound (these are in carpeted Fusion speaker boxes to achieve the best sound quality possible).
I have kept all the running gear completely standard. In the time I have had it, I have had a tune up, which involved replacing the spark plugs, points and condenser. I have had the brake shoes and a brake cylinder replaced. I have also replaced a steering universal.
I have had the clutch cable replaced and the clutch adjusted.
I have had the front guards rolled as to avoid tyre contact with the guards if lowered.
This car draws a lot of attention from everyone (old and young).
The interior is in great condition. With good carpet, great white seats and a dash that is in pristine condition.
The paint is in great condition apart from a small amount of paint that isnt glossy on the c pillars.
When purchased I was told it had a reconditioned alternator.
In the time I have owned the car I have enjoyed it a lot.
I have only decided to sell it as I want to upgrade.
I am open to swaps.
Can be sold on standard wheels. Will not sell wheels before the car sells.
I reserve the right to withdraw as it is advertised elsewhere.
