KP Racing Cap & Shirt Set

Karel Pavich is the 2006 New Zealand 250cc GP motorcycle champion, the first woman in NZ to win a solo road race title, a goal Karel and her mechanic/technician husband Lester Ferdinand, have been working towards in the last couple of years.

With this goal reached, they now intend to set their sights on the world stage, the World Motorcycling Championships or better known as MotoGP.

Karel and Lester from Nelson, who are "KP Racing" are hoping to compete in the world 250cc class as a "wild card" entry at this years Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, near Melbourne in September, riding alongside the world best motorcycle riders.

Past winners of this title include Danny Pedrosa, Marco Melandri, Loris Capirossi and of course "The Doctor" Valentino Rossi, 5 times MotoGP Champion!

Despite New Zealand's huge global presence in sport, there is not a New Zealand representative in the World Grand Prix motorcycle road racing championship this year, so it would be a great boost for us to have Karel racing for our country at this event.

Motorcycle racing in New Zealand is a sport that does not get the same attention and support that so many other sports benefit from, despite having some very talented world class riders and as you can imagine, the preparation and budget is huge just to prepare and then compete at this level.

KP Racing now have their own quality merchandise that they are selling, to help raise enough funds to get them to Phillip Island in September and represent New Zealand at this years World 250cc Grand Prix.
