Honda fans do you remember these in the show room window?
This is a nice example of Hondas iconic six cylinder superbike that duelled for roadbike supremacy in the late 70s
As you can see in the photos she is factory stock. And still looks great in her original paint Candy Glory red with black comstar wheels.
Please be aware this bike needs a FULL restoration. Its a US spec model with a build date of April 1980.As far as I can tell she has been off the road since 1993
I have the ( California) title and neccessary customs clearance docs to register in NZ.
Its missing the front indicators and one of the coils and does not have a battery.
The exhaust is original but needs to be stripped and rechromed. There are two tiny holes in one muffler easy repair. The end plates and baffles look fine.
The front brakes have been overhauled with all new seals etc... and are currently without fluid.
The lucky new owner will get the following NEW parts. 6 carb rebuild kits, fork legs , fork springs and seals, front brake pads, petrol tap, speedo and rev counter cables plus a quality chain.
She is fitted with a nos headlight and ring, and handgrips.
And to help put it all back together you get a factory manual.
She has only done 24000 miles(approx 38000 kms) I do not know the state of the engine however its free.
As far as I can tell she has never been crashed/dropped but there is a small scuff on the top of the head lamp shell I got for it...in a former life it was fitted with a vetter fairing and had no headlight when I got it.The shallow dent on the top of the tank must have happened in storage..it may just pop out!
In my opinion these machines are an absolute collectable and without doubt this bike would reward the investment of time and energy
Thanks for looking.
Any questions please ask.
Cheers Colin
