Suzuki RGV 250 Road Bike

*Near new Pirelli Diablo rear tyre (1000kms)
*Near new chain (1500kms)
*Near new Paint job (1500kms)
*Reconditioned 3 stage powervalves (bored to 8mm pin) for lonjevity as this is a major fault of the RGVs
*Major engine work just completed (1000kms)


This bike is a 1991 de restricted 62hp model RGV 250. It has the 240km speedo.


It has just had $2100 in labour alone spent at RCM performance (Ray clee, former nz champ on an RGV 250 and current builder of the top nz superbike for the past 3 years) It has had the engine fully pulled apart and everything cleaned and it has had the powervalves re machined so that they now have an 8mm pin through them not the standard brittle 4mm pin.

While at RCM we took the best parts from two motors and put them in to this motor

It got a shit load of new gaskets and seals in things so that it would be running 100%



The only downside is that not long after I bought it the engine seized due to an oiler hose coming detached and the bike got put down the road and it only slid along the left hand side so it has a bit of plastic damage and damage to the fibreglass on the fairings but other than this it runs fine, frame is in good order, rides straight and is not squishy. - I have therefore set the reserve very reasonable considering the money that has been poured in to this bike.

Only reason I am selling is because I need a car for my new job (will be using for work) and a bike is not appropriate, I have really spent too much money on this to sell it but I need the money for a car.
