This is a very rare BMW 'new class' coupe - a 1967 silver CS 2000.

This car wasn't made in huge numbers, and is really the first of BMW's modern coupes. It is a very cool car, with styling well beyond its time.

This car was found in a barn in Japan recently & imported by a BMW dealer. I bought it off him a couple of months ago, but with another kid on the the way something has to give and its this.

The body/paintwork is actually in pretty good shape, but this a a full restoration job. The car is currently in a lock up in Panmure, Auckland. Best to contact me at sam@pack.co.nz to inspect/view.

I have all the paperwork required to register it in New Zealand. The car in photo 9 is not of this car.

Featuring a modern coupe body by Karmann and a luxurious interior, the 100 hp (75 kW) single-carburetor 2000C and 120 hp (89 kW) dual-carburetor 2000CS were sold from 1965 through 1969. 'C' versions were available with a manual gearbox or an automatic while 'CS' versions were only available with a manual gearbox. The coupe's styling by Bertone was very controversial due to the design of its front grilles and headlights.
