It's time to part with our beloved AX...

We've had this car since November 2006 and it's been off the road since mid-2009. Have just gotten it back on the road as we can't justify having so many cars, and I'm not giving up my Scirocco!

This is the carburetted 1.4L engine (manual choke), with 5-speed manual. The drivetrain is sweet, but the plastic-work and paint on the body has seen better days, as you can see...

The sunroof is removable, and the original padded sleeve for it to be stowed in is still in the car.

Tyres are all good, and the car is fun to drive being so light. Fits into tiny parking spaces, and is a great little runabout. We've gotten about 7.5L/100km in the time we've had it.

It comes with a Chiltons workshop manual, and it's really easy to do basic maintenance on.

You also have the option to take two extra front doors if you like, I bought those a while ago to replace the window winder mechanism and side mirror on the passenger side door.

BTW, the rego plate represents "A vite AX" which is a play on French words for "A fast AX"
