Honda Prelude 1997

Meet my Prelude: Daphnia Suarez Montenegro (buddy of mine with a Masters in zoology named her after some supposed water flea (Daphnia part, rest is random)).

She's my very 1st (car), with us been together ever since the start of 12'. For the 1st 3 yrs, we lived together as scarfies in Dunas (Dunedin) where many awesome adventures were had. During those life changing times, we had some amazing road trips, seen some pretty amazing places, did some skux match-makings and made it through on top, together.

During those dirty south years, I looked out for Daphnia as best as I could, cleaning her and servicing her regularly. However, one does not get to live in Scarfieville for so long & leave unscathed. Daphnia is no exception (one side mirror was smashed & replaced, hood of the car bares evidence of being stood on by dumb pricks, there's a permanent hand print on the bonnet (lord knows how), back window was smashed & replaced brand new at the end of last year (still has warranty and receipt)).

Regardless, Daphnia is a tough ol' thing, coming out strong & intact. Like all seasoned troopers, she still drove & handled with the speed & grace of a young, energetic automobile.

Fast forward to the start of 15', a new chapter turned over in our lives. We road tripped all the way up to Auckland, where I began my life as a hard working intern with a $54k loan. So far this year, Daphnia has had 2 new tires put in + a brand new starter motor installed (August; with a 12 months warranty). Admittedly, her age is starting to show a little, and like all good things having to come to an end, it is sadly the time for us to part ways and go on our separate paths.

I hope that Daphnia can find a new, comfortable home, with many more adventures & excitement in store for her. As of now, she may need a little work done (contact me for info) but she is resilient & is sure to come out strong (and she insists on helping me pay off some student loans, what a buddy).
