Great Engine - Toyota Black-Top 4AGE Runs really well. Serviced regularly while I've owned it since 2005. 20 valve. Economical and yet powerful for a 1600cc.
Rare 6-speed Manual. Clutch replaced in February.
There is however, a BIG catch. Some woman drove into the back of it - See the photos. I don't know if it will get a WOF because of the ding or not. Don't really care because I got another car and now that summer is here - I'm on the motorbike.
From what I can tell here's what it'll need for a WOF:
* some new tyres
* Panelbeating of the boot and back area. (it still closes and locks but looks like garbage because of that woman who drove into it.)
* passenger seatbelt webbing needs to be replaced - I did this on the drivers side a couple of years ago and it was so easy.
Needs doing (not for WOF)
* stereo
This probably IS NOT the car for you if you think it's going to be a simple repair - if it was a simple repair I would be keeping the car because I like it that much. Or the price would be much higher like other black-top manual BZ tourings. Price reflects the damage.
Unless you FULLY understand everything here, or you're a panelbeater then please don't waste my time.
Motor and gearbox alone are highly sought after, so even if it was being parted-out those bits are worth over $1500.
Would be a great car for anyone in the repair industry like panelbeaters etc. Could be an easy fix for that sort of person who has the time, but I dunno.
New photos of damage uploaded.
