These two discs contains a complete performance of JS Bach's Keyboard Toccatas BWV910-916. These are works from Bach's earlier years, and one can hear that he was yet to reach that heights to come with the Partitas, English Suites and the Well-tempered Clavier. Yet they are enjoyable works all the same, several quite memorable compositions in their own right. Also included are performances of the first Keyboard Partita BWV825, whose opening movement is one of the most recognisable of Bach's keyboard pieces and among his most satisfying; the first English Suite BWV806, and the 15 2-part inventions. All are played exceptionally well on the harpsichord by the late Christiane Jaccottet, in a very favourable acoustic. In excellent condition.
