If Joni Mitchell and Lily Allen made a lovechild, the result would be the charming debut album That's The Game by Auckland trio Katie Scott & the Miss T's.

The EP was produced by Goldenhorse's Ben King in York Street Studios. Guest musicians Chris O'Connor (SJD) and Gareth Thomas of Goodshirt fame also lent their musical prowess in the recording studio, where vocals and music were laid down at the same time.

The group features Kayla Turei and her sister Bronwyn, known best for her role on TV2's hit show Go Girls as tomboy Cody.

With Bronwyn and Kaylas sibling harmonies and the groups stripped-back playing instrumentation, Katie Scott & The Miss T's might almost seem part of a local trend, but there's considerable style and substance here.
