The true Tenor tuning is G,C,E,A but with the G and C dropped an octave from Soprano or Concert ukuleles. An alternative tuning for Tenor Ukulele is to reverse the order of the G & C i.e. C,G,E,A with C & G dropped an octave below soprano or concert uklulele. This gives you a very big, guitar like chordal sound with the convenience of playing ukulele chords.
